Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Dolrec collects on dolrec.com, why, who can access it and how to exercise your rights. It follows Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Who is responsible

The person in charge of protecting personal information at Dolrec is Gabriel Dolbec, president and founder. For any question or request:

  • Email: gabrieldolbec@dolrec.com
  • Phone: 418-221-3681
  • Address: 12390, 1re Avenue, Saint-Georges (Québec) G5Y 2E6

What we collect and why

When you fill out the “Start a project” form: your name, your company, your email, your phone number, your sector, the services you’re interested in, your approximate budget and your message. We use them to reply, prepare a quote and follow up on your project.

When you write to us about a job: your résumé and the work samples you send. We use them only to review your application.

When you visit the site: the host processes technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested) so the site works and stays secure.

Only if you accept measurement: the data described in the “Cookies and measurement” section.

We only ask for what’s useful. We don’t sell or rent your information.

Cookies and measurement

Measurement is off by default. Nothing loads until you click “Accept” in the banner.

If you accept, two tools are added:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google): counts visits, page views, device type, approximate location and form submissions. We use it to see what works on the site.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): measures the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads, for example how many inquiries they bring in. Meta may also use it to show our ads to people who visited the site.

These tools place cookies in your browser. If you decline, the site works normally.

Your choice is kept in your browser only. To change it, click “Cookies” at the bottom of any page.

Who can access your information

The people on the Dolrec team who handle your request. We also work with these providers to run the site:

  • Vercel: hosts the site.
  • Resend: delivers the form requests by email.
  • Google: receives our email (Google Workspace) and provides Google Analytics.
  • Meta: provides the Meta Pixel.

These companies are located outside Quebec, mostly in the United States. Your information may therefore be processed or stored outside Quebec.

How long we keep it

  • Form requests: as long as it takes to handle your request and, if we work together, for the length of our business relationship and the period required by law (accounting, taxes). After that, we destroy them.
  • Applications: until the position is filled, or as long as they may be useful for a future position. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
  • Measurement data: according to the retention period set in Google Analytics and at Meta.

How we protect it

The site runs on an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Form requests arrive in a Dolrec email inbox that only the people who need it can access. The form is protected against bots.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • find out what information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
  • withdraw your consent, for example by declining measurement with the “Cookies” link;
  • ask us to delete your information or stop sharing it;
  • receive your information in a common, machine-readable format.

Write to Gabriel Dolbec (contact details above). We reply within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Changes

If we change this policy, for example by adding a tool, we post the new version on this page with its date.
